Have asteroid orders continue when compatible ones are given

About 59 minutes before, I gave orders to drop my speed from 6 to 4. I just gave orders to drop my speed to 0, and my speed immediately jumped up to 6 with 6 hours to get to 0. There were only 2 hours to get to 4. So where did 59 minutes go?

This particular bug has happened to me many times, and it really needs to be fixed. If I give orders that are compatible to the existing orders, it shouldn't restart the timer, and charge me the full amount of crystals again.

If the previous step isn't completed and a new step beginning - the previous order is canceled and returns to the initial position. Such is the mechanics of the game.

Yes, hence my suggestion that the mechanic of the game change - the current mechanic is illogical, and in my opinion poorly thought out/implemented.
